1. Intial consultation Visit the studio to
meet Linda, see her work, try on samples, discuss ideas, shapes,
fabrics and budget. You are welcome to bring picture reference or
fabric swatches, along with other inspirational items, we once made a
wedding dress to match a beautiful pair of shoes!
2. View designs Review
design drawings and a selection ofsilks based on the ideas discussed
and make any changes. Select the design and fabric and be measured.
(A 50% deposit is required at this stage)
3. Pattern and Toile fitting A
pattern is drafted to your measurements and dress design and a calico
'Toile' (a sample dress) is made up to check the fit and proportion.
Alterations to the design and shape can still be made at this
stage.(Wear actual bra, smooth and uplifting).
Major
changes: i.e. choosing a different design at this stage will be charged
at £200 to cover pattern and toile remake and an additional fitting.
Variations on the original design are not charged for.
4. Confirm design and fabric selection
5. Silk fitting The
real thing... a last chance for any minor amendments, bear in mind that
gowns usually can't be made larger or fuller. (You will need your wedding shoes for this fitting).
6. Final fitting To check any adjustments, best done as close to the 'big day' as possible. Two weeks prior to the wedding is ideal.
The remaining 50% of the fee and any extra costs incurred are required before collection.
7. Collection We provide breathable Calico Gown covers to protect and hide your dress. Courier delivery can be arranged on request.
